Honey, (female, DOB October 24, 2009):  We are wondering why Honey is still with us – she is the sweetest cat!  Maybe everyone just misses her as her favourite spot to relax is in a basket which is kept in the bathroom! She is aptly named – she is a honey! She is a sociable cat who likes to be around people. She enjoys being picked up and cuddled and will snuggle up against you.  She readily shows her appreciation of human company by purring. She has tiny scar on her nose to show she has not always had an easy life and to emphasize how much she will appreciate her new home when she chosen.

Charlie (Male, Born – October 3, 2011): This very handsome long haired cat who has a lovely temperament. He is a quiet cat but he loves attention and loves to be scratched under the chin. He has obviously had a hard time being homeless and he may take a while in a new home before his real affectionate character shows. He gets on well with the other cats. He is a poly-dactyl, having huge back feet with more than his fair share of toes!

Our programs provide an interactive and educational, hands-on experience for children to explore pets & animals and build self-confidence. Camp programs are available for kids from 5-15 years old at our summer camp location in Markham. Busing is available from Aurora, Richmond Hill and Thornhill. Programs are developed based on age & learning level. Kids 10+ can take part in our specialty programs including Animal Care Camp, Junior Dog Trainer & Mini Vet Camp. Campers 5-9 years can take part in our animal education camp where they can spend everyday working hands-on with a variety of different animals.

Pawsitively Pets also has a birthday party program where we can bring our party animals to your party or event!  If your child loves animals and “wants to be a vet one day,” then this is the camp for you!

Faith (Kitten) (Female, Born – September 1, 2012): GREAT NEWS! FAITH HAS BEEN ADOPTED Faith is little impish kitten, full of energy and all over the place and into everything. She seems to have boundless energy and appears to enjoy every minute of it. She really does not have much time to worry about people and certainly no time to lap sit – that will have to wait until later!

Cognac (Male, Born – February 22, 2011): GREAT NEWS! COGNAC HAS BEEN ADOPTED Cognac came into us with a nasty gash on one paw that was on its way to being septic. Fortunately for him the veterinary care he has received has cleared it completely. He is a quiet cat but a cat who is friendly and interesting. He enjoys the time he has been able to spend out of the cage after his paw healed. He has a gentle nature and likes attention. He gets on well with the other cats.

Zumba is a high cardio, dance fitness class for people who love to dance but also want to feel a little burn in their muscles and be part of an effective exercise program that will want you coming back for more! No worries if you have never tried a Zumba class as its easy for  anyone to follow and the most important thing is to have fun and work up a little sweat!

Bojana Perisic has spent the last year teaching Zumba throughout  Markham, learning from the feedback she has received from her students  and from other instructors in order to create a supportive and fun  exercise group.

The thing she loves more than dancing in this whole  Zumba experience is seeing her members smiling. She loves the look on  their faces after the class when they feel exhausted but happy.  Exercise should be fun and you would not be disappointed in Bojana’s class.

Classes are held in Aurora every Thursday and the location is convenient for Richmond Hill, Newmarket and King residents.  Details can be found at bojanap.zumba.com

Tell us a bit about your business?  We are a mobile beading (jewelry making) party entertainment service.  We bring thousands of beads, findings and tools to help the guests design and create beautiful one-of-a-kind jewelry.  We do mainly birthday parties, but also do girl guide events, corporate events, bachelorette parties, bridal showers and girl’s nights out.

What inspired you to start your business?  The business found me!  I worked at a law firm downtown Toronto and my co-worker knew that I made jewelry.  She asked me to do a party for her daughter’s birthday, and it took off from there.

How long have you lived in the area?  We have been servicing the Vaughan area for 5 years.

What job would you love to do if you never had to worry about money again?  I would still want to do beading parties, I enjoy everything about doing beading parties, I love the excitement of booking each party, I love meeting the moms at the parties (many have become close friends) and I love seeing how excited and happy the birthday girl is and being a part of her very special day.  But, if I never had to worry about money again, I would want to expand Beading Buds worldwide, how fun would it be doing beading parties on the beach.

How do you spend your free time?  I’m the very proud mommy of two little girls, so I enjoy spending every minute with them that I can.

People may be surprised to know that I …..am the oldest daughter of 7 children.

Wellington, (Male, DOB 26, November, 2010.) : This elegant grey cat is very special – not only is handsome but he is a very nice natured cat. He had been crying and crying for some days at a house, obviously he was lost and hungry. Unable to find his owner he was taken in but could not be kept by his rescuer. For some reason he had been shaved on his back legs and his fur was growing in. He is a patient quiet cat who watches everything. He loves to be scratched and will allow you to picked him up and cuddle him. He will fit into a home as a single cat or into a multicat household.

Bonnie (Female, Born – April 2009): Bonnie and Clyde came to our shelter as a pair. Clyde has long since been adopted but Bonnie is still here. Bonnie is a beautiful looking cat but for quite while she did not come to anyone. She has become progresively more friendly and now chooses to hang out where ever there are people. She is not yet a lap cat but may well learn to be one in a loving home. She gets on with the other cats. Bonnie would fit into a home either as a single cat or with another cat.
